KARA !!

Kara Frenzel Kara grew up in Moorpark, California, where she danced on the Moorpark High School dance team and also took dance classes at Moorpark College and Pam Rossi?s Dance Ten. She studied jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, modern, swing, and some ballroom. She studied salsa dancing in the local area from instructor Jay Byam. Kara left for college at BYU-Idaho campus majoring in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Dance. She studied American style Smooth and Rhythm as well as International Standard and Latin certifying through DVIDA. Kara performed on multiple tour groups, several of which toured Canada. Kara also interned at Ballroom Dance Studio in Thousand Oaks California, submersing herself into the ballroom world and further exploring and learning how to teach. Kara enjoyed mentoring students through their first competitions, lessons, and groups classes. Today, Kara is frequenting the West Coast Swing circuit, trying to make it to as many conventions as her little feet can take her. She is excelling through the advanced division, typically placing in Jack and Jills and Strictly swings. She hopes to continue to grow her business teaching dance in the area and maybe find a partner to start routines with. She teaches private lessons from her home and classes in San Luis Obispo for Linda Drake. She also often teaches for the Cal Poly WCS club, CP Salsa, and coaches the CP Dancesport (Ballroom) Team. Kara feels the success she has had in the West Coast Swing community is due to her connection developed in many forms of partner dancing and the style of a contemporary dancer, which is one reason she loves to teach all styles of dance. She has brought a sexy, fluid style to her dancing, bringing elements of her other dance background to her West coast swing. Her dynamic style and flair, connection, and understanding have set her apart in the dance community.
